- 1 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves(pack well into measuring cup)
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 5 medium cloves garlic
- 1/3 cup nutritional yeast (available at most health food stores. Do not use brewers’ yeast)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- Place all in a food processor and pulse (on and off) until pine nuts are ground.
- Do not make smooth, there should be texture.
