When you know your farmer, you know where your food comes from. This means you can trust that it is grown and harvested with love, care and attention.

Farmer Joe grows food because he loves feeding his local community. He is passionate about growing the most delicious organic produce around and sharing it at local farmers markets and in our CSA farm box.

When you sign up for a farm box, you become a member of our farm. Membership comes with the benefit of receiving your farm box full of freshly harvested organic produce. You will also have access to all of the add-on items available to members in our online store.
You will be able to pick up your farm box at a nearby pickup site, or have it delivered if you live in one of our delivery areas.

We’re a CSA farm
What’s CSA?
CSA stands for “Community Supported Agriculture.” Customers become members of the farm by pre-purchasing their share of the harvest. As the crops are harvested, members get a weekly farm box, containing organic produce.
What comes in my farm box?
When you pop open your box you will find freshly picked and packed organic goodness straight from the fields.
Our large box contains 11 items per week, our small box contains 7 items – a mix of staples and more seasonal items. The box contents depend on what is coming into harvest at the moment, so you get to eat with the seasons.

Where do I pick up my farm box?
How about at the farm?
While selecting your farm box size and frequency (weekly or bi-weekly), you’ll be asked to select a pick up site. All of our farmers market stands are pick up sites. Additionally, we have pick up sites at stores and private residences. Pickups are available all days except Monday and Friday.

How to Try Out Our CSA Farm Box
We know that a 12-week commitment isn’t made lightly. That’s why we offer a 2-week membership. It’s a great way for you to see if a farm box lifestyle might work for you. What’s more, you will have access to all of our add-on items in our online store.

Choose from jams, flowers, and some of your favorite fruits and vegetables.
When you join our CSA, you don’t only get the standard farm box, you also have access to our online add-on items. As a CSA member you can add whatever you like (no minimum) to your box. It will be added to your box and included in your normal box delivery.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Not everyone is going to enjoy a CSA. Luckily, we have a good idea of what type of person will click with the CSA model. We have identified 5 questions for you to ask yourself in order to decide if our farm would be right for you. Would you like to know what they are?

I think it's really important to be able to get quality produce and have a relationship with your farmer. It is just so good to be able to nurture that relationship and find quality produce. I was looking at their sweet potatoes and I saw that they had little indents in them, and they're not perfect. But they're still really beautiful. That’s because they’re organic. They are not conventional and sprayed with a bunch of stuff to make them really aesthetically appealing. And that's what I love. Being able to like, know and trust the people I get my food from.

I have been a member of J.R.'s CSA for over 8 years. Their service and quality are impeccable. The owner, Joe, and all his staff that we have interacted with are very friendly and helpful. The food is the highest quality local, organic produce you can get. It is also the best tasting. On top of all this, the cost is often less than the price of non-organic produce at the supermarket. We’re certified organic
We are certified with both CCOF and the USDA. A lot of time and energy goes into maintaining our organic certifications. We think it’s worth the effort though, because we want our members to rest assured that they are eating food that is truly organic.
Don’t tell anyone our secret: our vegetables taste as amazing as they do because of the soil. We are serious about protecting the land and enriching our soils year after year through organic and regenerative farming techniques.
We go far beyond the minimum requirements because we want to protect our family, our community and the land that supports us.
Are you going to be out of town?
No problem. You can put your box on hold. This can be done for one date, or for multiple dates, done one by one by Saturday at 11:50 pm on our online system. You can call the farm after the online deadline. Just give us 72 hours notice so that we have time to alter our harvesting and delivery schedules appropriately.

Common Questions about CSA membership
What if I don’t like something in the box?
Farmers market pick up (exchange up to three items for equivalent value from the tables)
Can I switch my pick up site?
Yes, you can change the pick up location for one or more dates. By Saturday night before a scheduled delivery you can change it through our online ordering system. Just go to your calendar and click on the “move delivery” option (green & white).
Do you credit my account if I miss my box?
Our official policy is that we are not responsible for unclaimed boxes. At markets, they are donated to charity. At other sites you may receive a courtesy call at the end of the day from your pickup site host, or you will have to call to make arrangements.
What happens if I go on vacation?
You can place your box on hold. This can be done for one date, or for multiple dates, done one by one. 72 hours if I miss the deadline.
